COMMENDATIONS

Engineering Concepts, Inc. was recognized as the Designer for roadways in the Manana Property in Pearl City. The Hawaii Chapter, American Public Works Association, presented the project with a 2002 Project of the Year Award in the Transportation category.

Engineering Concepts, Inc. also received commendations for civil engineering work on the Ku'ulako Project in Mililani Mauka, which received the Grand Champion Award at the 1995 Parade of Homes, and for our civil engineering work on the Windsor Hampton Court project in Mililani Mauka, which placed first in its category at the 1992 Parade of Homes. Another project at Campbell Square in Kapolei received the AIA Award of Excellence honor.

We have also received the Kukulu Hale New Project of the Year Award for the Ward Entertainment Center project from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.

We received a Letter of Appreciation for Outstanding Engineering Consultant Services Performance from the Department of Wastewater Management, City and County of Honolulu for outstanding professional performance for various wastewater projects undertaken for the Department.

We have also received a Certificate of Recognition from the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Parks and Recreation for the Kahuku District Park Playcourts.

Under Navy Contract N62742-01-D-1807, we were commended for outstanding performance and exceptional dedication, flexibility, and responsiveness in problems encountered at the Fena Water Treatment Plant on Guam. Myron Nomura was singled out for his exceptional professionalism and technical expertise in support of this exigent project to restore water plant operations in the aftermath of Typhoon Chataan in 2002.

We have received an "Outstanding" rating on Navy Contract N62742-92-D-0052 for providing outstanding technical support and having a thorough understanding of the Navy water and wastewater systems. For one work order under this open-end contract, Navy Public Works Center (PWC) Guam commended the comprehensiveness of our Utility Technical Study engineering investigation on its water and sanitary sewerage systems at various naval installations on Guam. In particular, PWC Guam indicated that the thoroughness of this investigation precluded its need to initiate several earlier planned engineering studies into improving certain aspects of its utility system operations.

We have also received a Letter of Appreciation recognizing Engineering Concepts, Inc. for outstanding performance under Navy Contract N62742-05-D-1876. Along with Letters of Appreciation, we received overall performance evaluations of "Excellent" for Navy Contracts N62742-98-D-1806 and N62742-96-D-0001.

OEL

As a key member firm of the project team, Engineering Concepts, Inc. received a Letter of Commendation for its design work on Sewage Collection System at NCTAMS EASTPAC, Contract N62742-92-C-0033. We were also recognized for outstanding engineering planning and design services on Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion, Fort Kamehameha, Contract N62742-91-C-0030.

We have been successful in obtaining repeat work from local government agencies (State Departments of Health; Accounting and General Services; and Land and Natural Resources and the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Design and Construction and the Honolulu Board of Water Supply).

Private clients have included The Estate of James Campbell, Castle and Cooke Homes Hawaii, and The Queen Emma Foundation, to cite a few.

We have also been retained by other design professionals to provide technical support services in our various areas of expertise. We feel this indicates our ability to render quality service in a timely manner.
